Lasiana beach opened to the public sometime in the 1970s. From the Department of Tourism NTT polish by building various facilities in 1986, Beach Lasiana visited by foreign tourists. As planned development of the City of Kupang, Cote Lasiana will be Flobamora Cultural Park, the designation refers to the whole tribe near the coast Lasiana, among others, Flores, Sumba, Timor, and Alor.

Sesuai rencana pengembangan Pemerintah Kota Kupang, Pantai Lasiana akan dijadikan Taman Budaya Flobamora, yakni sebutan yang mengacu pada keseluruhan suku bangsa di dekat Pantai Lasiana, antara lain, Flores, Sumba, Timor, dan Alor.

Di Pantai Lasiana ini banyak didapati lopo-lopo yang berderet. Lopo-lopo adalah sebutan lokal untuk pondok yang dibangun menyerupai payung dengan tiang dari batang pohon kelapa atau kayu dan beratapkan ijuk, pelepah kelapa atau lontar, dan alang-alang. Bisa juga beratapkan seng yang bagian luarnya dilapisi ijuk, pelepah kelapa atau lontar dan alang-alang.

Distinctive Feature - Keistimewaan

Pantai nan landai sekitar 3,5 hektar atau tepatnya 35.065 persegi ini, berudara sejuk karena dinaungi 65 pohon kelapa dan 230 pohon lontar tua yang hingga kini masih produktif. Pantainya berpasir putih halus, lautnya biru, airnya jernih dengan debur ombak yang bergulung-gulung kecil, tenang. Keindahan pantai ini bukan karena fasilitas buatan, tetapi lebih karena karakter alamnya.

Pantai Lasiana mempunyai topografi menarik, pada bagian barat terdapat perbukitan, sehingga keseluruhan kawasan ini mempunyai variasi unik, yaitu perpaduan antara perbukita dan pantai.

Access - Akses Menuju Lokasi

Lasiana beach located 12 km from the center of the city of Kupang. Generally, visitors come to use public transport, or by private vehicle. For visitors can ride public transit vehicle type colt, which cost IDR 5,000.

Di Hutan Camplong juga banyak terdapat sumber daya alam, seperti sumber mata air, kolam renang alami, aneka jenis flora seperti kayu merah, pinus, lontar, eucalyptus, dan beragam jenis fauna seperti kera, ayam hutan, tupai, kuskus, dan burung (nuri, kakaktua, merpati, puyuh, bangau, elang, tekukur, beo).

Sedangkan flora endemik yang dapat ditemukan adalah kayu cendana (Santalun Album). Selain itu terdapat pula berbagai goa buatan, peninggalan Jepang semasa perang dunia kedua. Gua ini mengandung nilai sejarah karena menjadi tempat persembunyian pasukan Jepang ketika diserbu oleh warga yang tinggal di sekitar Hutan Camplong.

Overview - Selayang Pandang

Reba is a traditional ceremony that aims to do homage and words of gratitude to the service of the ancestors. This ceremony is also used to evaluate everything about the life of the society in previous years already served by public Ngada. Through this ceremony, family and community asking for directions to the religious and traditional leaders to be able to live better in the new year. The ceremony is held every new year, precisely in January or February.

Host for the ceremony is always rotating in each year. A day before the celebration of Reba starts, held the opening ceremony of Reba (su'i uwi). On the night of the event su'i uwi done eating and drinking together (ka maki Reba) while waiting for morning. In the morning, when the ceremony, guests are provided food and beverages that are ripe and ready to eat (Ngeta kau bhagi ngia, mami utu Mogo. Kaa si papa vara, ini su papaPinu). The main dish in this feast is sweet. For citizens Ngada, sweet heralded as a food source that never runs out is provided by the earth. Upacara ini diadakan setiap tahun baru, tepatnya di bulan Januari atau Februari.

Tuan Rumah untuk upacara ini selalu bergiliran pada setiap tahunnya. Sehari sebelum perayaan Reba dimulai, dilaksanakan upacara pembukaan Reba (su'i uwi). Pada malam su'i uwi dilakukan acara makan minum bersama (ka maki Reba) sambil menunggu pagi. Pada pagi harinya, ketika upacara berlangsung, para tamu disediakan makanan dan minuman yang sudah matang dan siap dimakan (Ngeta kau bhagi ngia, mami utu mogo. Kaa si papa vara, ini su papa pinu). Hidangan utama dalam pesta ini adalah ubi. Bagi warga Ngada, ubi diagungkan sebagai sumber makanan yang tak pernah habis disediakan oleh bumi. Karena itu, warga Ngada tidak akan pernah mengalami rawan pangan ataupun busung lapar.

Selama upacara Reba berlangsung diiringi oleh tarian para penari yang menggenggam pedang panjang (sau) dan tongkat warna-warni yang pada bagian ujungnya dihiasi dengan bulu kambing berwarna putih (tuba). Sebagai pengiring tarian adat adalah alat musik gesek berdawai tunggal yang terbuat dari tempurung kelapa atau juga dari labu hutan. Sebagai wadah resonansinya, alat musik ini ditutupi dengan kulit kambing yang pada bagian tengahnya telah dilubangi. Sedangkan penggeseknya terbuat dari sebilah bambu yang telah diikat dengan benang tenun yang telah digosok dengan lilin.

Beberapa rangkaian upacara juga diiringi dengan koor nyanyian gereja, dan menggunakan bahasa lokal Ngada. Upacara ini memang memadukan unsur adat dengan agama.

Di luar gereja, suasana upacara adat bertambah meriah, ketika para penonton dan penari disodori satu atau dua gelas arak (tua ara). Ini merupakan tradisi setiap orang Ngada yang hadir dalam upacara tersebut. Namun demikian, Reba bukan sekedar pesta hura-hura, tetapi wujud kegembiraan (gaja gora) masyarakat Ngada dengan tetap menjaga nuansa rohani.

Inerie mountain has a height of 2245 meters above sea level. Parts of the densely forested mountains in the west there are only a mountainside. The forest on the slopes of the south has been converted into plantation areas. Most of the forests exist in this area lies at an altitude of 1000-1500 meters above sea level. 

Inerie mountain had erupted in 1882 and 1970. This bustling mountain to climb when the dry season, ie between June and August.

Gunung Inerie memiliki ketinggian 2.245 meter di atas permukaan laut. Bagian gunung yang berhutan lebat hanya terdapat di sebelah barat lereng gunung. Sedangkan hutan di lereng bagian selatan telah dikonversi menjadi daerah perkebunan. Sebagian besar hutan yang terdapat di dalam kawasan ini terletak pada ketinggian 1.000-1.500 meter dari permukaan laut.

Gunung Inerie pernah meletus pada tahun 1882 dan 1970. Gunung ini ramai didaki ketika musim kemarau, yakni antara bulan Juni hingga Agustus.

Feature - Keistimewaan

From the top of the mountain, hikers can freely view the beautiful scenery in every direction. City View Bajawa in the northwest, with mist on it, looked like small towns and old in Europe. While in the south, it appears blue Savu Sea, clinging tightly at the foot of Mount Inerie.

On the south side of the peak of Mount Inerie there is a large stone which is believed to be the embodiment of figure Jaramasi its mount. According to legend, was a knight guard Jaramasi Inerie Mt. Said, 'Jara' means horse and 'Masi' is the name of the person (male). It means "horse's masi", who is a hero at the foot of Mount Inerie township area.

Dari atas puncak gunung, para pendaki bisa dengan leluasa melihat pemandangan yang indah ke segala arah. Pemandangan Kota Bajawa di sebelah barat laut, dengan kabut tipis di atasnya, tampak seperti kota-kota kecil dan tua di Eropa. Sedangkan di bagian selatan, tampak birunya laut sawu, menempel rapat di kaki Gunung Inerie.

Di sisi selatan puncak Gunung Inerie terdapat sebuah batu besar yang diyakini sebagai penjelmaan dari sosok Jaramasi beserta kuda tunggangannya. Menurut legenda, Jaramasi adalah seorang satria penjaga Gunung Inerie. Kata, 'Jara' berarti kuda dan 'Masi' adalah nama orang (laki-laki). Artinya "kuda milik masi", yang merupakan seorang pahlawan di wilayah perkampungan kaki Gunung Inerie.

Sano Nggoang Lake

Administratively, Sano Nggoang lake is located in the village wae sano West Manggarai regency.The distance from Labuan Bajo as the capital of Manggarai regency 63 kms and takes about 3 hour by using private vehicles such as four wheels and two wheels. The quality of the road to tourist attraction from Labuan Bajo are paved roads while from Werang village to the lake is rocky roads but for the future will be held paying project to the lakes so make it easy for tourist to travel to this lake. Sano Nggoang lake tourism area is situated at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level  and the lake area has a potentsial as follows:

1.Volcanic Lake

This lake has an area of 513 ha, a depth of approximetely 600 meters. The lake is main attraction with fairly high sulfur content, so that tourist can do activities for healty skin and refresing. Sano Nggoang by unspoiled area that adds vallue to the beauty and comfort for the travelers.

2. Sulfur Hot Water

In the vicinity of Sano Nggoang  lake, there are hot spring that reach 1000 cc with naturalness that is very good value.the main atraction for the tourist to boild food such as eegs,bananas and in addition tourist can perfom natural spa in a small pond on the edge of the lake.

3.Endemic Bird Flores (Flores Crow )

Bird species found around Sano Nggoang lake are water bird (duck mountains, ducks livid), species endemic flores (flores crow)restricted range species (testia timor, cekakak tungir). The area of Sano Nggoang lake increasing attractiveness to bird observation area because the number of the bird populations around the lake is still relatively large.  

4. Natural Pharmacy 

In the vicinity of the forest area there are natural pharmacy that is often used by local people for traditional medicines such as fever, flu , malaria, pregnant woman and giving birth to the cancer. This location is the main attractions for the tourist due to go on the trekking paths.

5. Peak Savana Eco Tourism

One of the activities that demand by tourist are trekking to the top of savana eco tourism. Trekking is quite easy to do and takes about 4 hours for go and back. From the top of savana eco tourism tourist can see the view of the lake, Mbeliing moutain and small island . In addtions tourist will be threated a traditional local food and coffee. 

Tourism development can not be separated with the tourist facilites are availabel because in every tour activities undertaken by tourist need accomodation,food,drinks and informations. Procurement of tourism facilities undertaken by non-governmental community of Indonesia bird involve community involvement.This is order to maintain continuinty of the tools available. Facility tours area available at the tourist area of Sano Nggoang lake still relatively limited. Because procurement facility should be done with in depth environmental impact assessment so not to cause environmental damage. The facilities there such as trash facilities, home stay, tourism awareness and board equipment such as binocular for bird watching.

Ranamese Lake : Silence - Danau Ranamese : Keheningan

Lake Ranamese, anyone who had traveled overland to the town of Ruteng must have passed this place. Lake Ranamese is situated on the edge of the highway between Ruteng (Manggarai) and Borong (East Manggarai regency) and still fall within the scope of East Manggarai regency. However, a trip to the lake is closer Ruteng taken through a distance of about 30 km.

Actually this is the third trip to this lake, but the two times before stopping just walk around without taking a single photograph kalipun (be advised that time there has been no digital camera).

Danau Ranamese memang terletak di tepi jalan raya antara Ruteng (Kabupaten Manggarai) dan Borong (Kabupaten Manggarai Timur) dan masih termasuk dalam lingkup wilayah Kabupaten Manggarai Timur. Meski demikian, perjalanan ke danau ini lebih dekat ditempuh melalui Ruteng dengan jarak sekitar 30 km.

Sebenarnya ini perjalananku yang ketiga ke danau ini, namun dari dua kali singgah sebelumnya hanya berjalan-jalan tanpa mengambil foto satu kalipun (maklum waktu itu belum ada kamera digital).
Entah karena belakangan ini terjadi anomali cuaca atau karena apa, bulan-bulan September ternyata Ruteng tempat aku memulai perjalanan setiap siang atau sore selalu tertutup kabut yang kadang disertai hujan.

Namun niat yang kuat untuk kembali mengunjungi danau Ranamese membuat aku dan seorang teman tak menyurutkan niat meski perjalanan kali ini hanya dengan sebuah sepeda motor sewaan dari pemilik hotel Sinda, pak Stefanus yang bisa kami panggil pak Nus. Berbekal sebuah tas rangsel yang telah kami isi beberapa makanan kecil dan minuman, maka setelah lewat pukul 08.00 pagi kami melajukan kendaraan ke arah timur. Perjalanan sendiri tidaklah mulus, karena kami beberapa kali dihadang longsoran-longsoran tanah akibat hujan. Alam Flores yang berbukit-bukit dan bergunung-gunung memang rawan longsor karena kondisi tanahnya yang labil. Karena bekas longsoran ini sehingga jalan-jalan banyak dipenuhi tanah-tanah liat yang membuat jalan menjadi licin apalagi gerimis masih turun di beberapa tempat meskipun tidak merata. Karena itu kami harus melambatkan kendaraan agar tidak slip.

Setelah melewati daerah Poco Ranaka maka tak berapa lama kami sampai masuk di kawasan hutang lindung yang begitu lebat. Lagi-lagi kami disambut gerimis yang agak keras, untunglah tak lama kami sampai di atas tanjakan dimana ada bangunan tembok tinggi dimana ada sebuat warung kecil berdiri di situ. Kami memutuskan singgah di warung untuk sedikit mengeringkan badan serta menikmati kopi panas yang tentu nikmat diwaktu begini. Sebenarnya menurut orang pemda, tembok ini dibangun untuk menghalangi orang-orang yang melakukan ada di kendaraan dapat melihat danau Ranamese yang ada di bawah. Karena memang biasanya tempat ini digunakan orang untuk melihat danau Ranamese tanpa harus turun ke bawah, bahkan tanpa turun dari kendaraan, akibatnya sering terjadi kemacetan di tempat ini. Dengan adanya tembok ini, maka orang harus turun terlebih dahulu dan masuk dibalik tembok untuk dapat melihat danau Ranamese dari ketinggian. Selesai minum kopi, kami dikejutkan dengan kondisi ban motor depan yang bocor. Untunglah pemilik warung punya peralatan untuk menambal ban itu. Walhasil, kami menitipkan kendaraan itu ke pemilik warung dan kami berjalan kaki turun menuju ke pintu masuk danau Ranamese. Di pintu masuk danau ini sebenarnya ada beberapa bangunan milik dari KSDA yang sudah tidak terpakai sehingga beberapa lopo yang dulu dibangun juga sudah rusak tak dapat digunakan. Beberapa orang setempat mengatakan tempat ini penuh dengan mistis dan beberapa kejadian aneh. Salah satu khas yang kami tahu setiap kali kendaraan melewati daerah ini pada malam hari pasti membunyikan klakson panjang beberapa kali. Waktu kita tanyakan kepada sopir-sopir itu, mereka katakan bahwa mereka membunyikan klakson untuk meminta ijin lewat daerah ini. Kalau tidak, tanya saya.. wah, beberapa cerita seram mengalir dari mulut mereka. Kebenarannya? Wallahualam.... Begitu turun ke danau kami disambut pemandangan beberapa orang yang tampaknya begitu asyik memancing dan mereka tidak saling berkumpul melainkan saling berpencar beberapa jauh. Wah, padahal air udara disini dingin sekali. Tempat ini terletak di atas 1000 meter di atas permukaan air laut serta hutan lindung dengan pohon-pohon besar jadi pantas jika suasananya dingin.

Pemancing di danau ini tidaklah banyak, sebagian besar yang saya tanyai adalah penduduk sekitar danau ini yang tinggal di daerah Gololoni. Bahkan kalau sudah asyik memancing mereka bisa asyik sampai malam sambil membuat perapian biar tetap hangat. Bahkan waktu itu saya melihat jam 10.00 mereka sudah membuat api, ya karena memang udara disini walaupun siang hari tetep akan sejuk bahkan dingin pada waktu-waktu tertentu. Oh, bagi yang penggeli terhadap lintah juga harap berhati-hati karena lintah banyak sekali di danau ini, saya sendiri harus merelakan darah dihisap setidaknya 3-4 lintah.

Selepas jam 11.00 saya dan teman memutuskan kembali karena batere kamera teman sudah habis sehingga tidak bisa memfoto lagi. Padahal kita belum sampai seperempat lingkaran danau, dan terus terang pemandangan di seberang danau tampak begitu menawan dengan juntaian tanaman-tanaman merambat dipohon besar, jembatan kecil dengan rumput-rumput ilalang yang begitu hijau...

Akhirnya kita kembali ke warung karena kabut turun dengan cepat sehingga danau menjadi tertutup dan tak bisa dilihat lagi. Danau Ranamese memang kalau tertutup kabut sering sulit untuk bisa dilihat lagi meski dalam jarak dekat karena kabut yang turun seringkali tebal sekali sehingga jarak pandang teramat pendek.
Namun pengalaman ini sungguh menyenangkan, tampaknya aku harus mengunjunginya lagi setidaknya untuk bisa memutari seluruh kawasan danau ini.
